Richard walked up a hill this morning :)
Walking up a hill is something most of us take for granted. For Richard this was truly AMAZING and a testimony of his healing. The doc hasn’t allowed him to walk hills since November but he couldn’t have done it anyway, and for many weeks before that he was having issues, getting out of breath very easily.
Last night we stopped in Mason, OH at Cedar Camp. (Expensive but VERY well designed campground albeit the sites are a little narrow for our big rig.) This morning we took a walk and decided to take the trail. We had no idea what to expect, actually thinking it would be a paved trail. It was wood chips. I never even thought anything about walking up the incline but Richard did and made a comment once we reached the top! What a moment to remember! There were two more inclines and he went up them both! HALLELUJAH!
This evening we are in Indiana where we are staying for 2 days to give us all a break. It means that we can watch church online in the morning and also see the Superbowl in the evening. A day off will be GOOD!
We took the pic of the two of us on the rooftop of Cleveland Clinic on Thursday. Richard’s follow-up appointments went well so we were able to make plans to start our journey back. Richard is doing really well. All the swelling that he came out of the hospital with was gone within 36 hours! He has probably overdone it the last couple days helping get the camper ready for travel etc. but I have appreciated it 🙂 He knows his limitations though so is being wise and not lifting anything heavy etc. He is obviously still sore but is getting better each day. We are VERY, VERY blessed!
Love,
Liz
