A four mile trail with lemonade!
With temps nearing 60F today it was too nice to ignore so after an early lunch we all headed out for the trail. This is the first time Richard has been with us on the trail and as it is so rare for the kids to know something he doesn’t they were excited to show him the way! Richard made a gallon of lemonade to take with us so we could refresh ourselves along the way. The trail is quite arduous at times but we climbed all the way to the look-out on Rt 76 and back down again. The view from the top is amazing!
On another note, we never know how life is going to turn out. Today, Richard and I agreed to be lifeguards here at Treasure Lake during the summer. This is a job we have not done before but as we spend so much time here and at the pool, we figured it would be a good thing to do. Will add another experience to our tag line – “Where life is always an adVENTURE”!
Oh, would you like the lemonade recipe? Here you go:
1 gallon jar
1 1/3 cups of honey (We use raw clover honey.)
2 cups of lemon juice (We use organic.)
Water to fill to the top of the jar
Yes, it’s that simple. If your honey is a little on the solid side mix it with some water to dissolve first before adding the lemon juice and remaining water. This is delicious and very refreshing!
Take care,
Liz
