Bella & Carina on their way to California
A few weeks ago a gentleman contacted me about adopting an Irish Setter. Richard & I discussed this & decided that Carina would be much better living where there are no birds. We have lost count on the number of chicks she has killed & she constantly chases them. SO we offered Robert & his family Carina and then asked where he was located.
I have said this many times, but I do not believe in coincidences but in GODincidences. I couldn’t believe it when he said where they lived – only about 30 miles from where we are going to pick up hoirses in southern California! After some more thought on this end, we also offered them Bella. Carina has never been the “only” dog & we felt it would be too stressful for her to be on her own. We knew she would do better with Bella to keep her company. Robert had previously had two Irish Setters together & so agreed with us on this decision.
Bella & Carina are going to an excellent home. They will get a lot of attention, get to be indoor dogs & part of an active family. Although the farm will be quieter without them we know we have made the right decision.
SO on Monday morning they were loaded onto the trailer. Carina was very nervous the first day & it really confirmed to us that bringing Bella was the right decision. They have now both settled down & love to run when we let the out. These dogs do not like leashes – they are free spirits but are being very obedient so that is good.
Take care,
Liz

Goodby to Bella and Carina. I’m sure this is what is best for both of them. I’m telling you, your Bella is just beautiful. Look at how Caleb is holding onto Carina’s back. Cute!! Hope this new home will share pictures from time to time, I really liked your Irish Setters.
