Happy New Year to you!
Merry Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR! LOL! Once again, it has been WAY TOO long since I last “talked” with you. The weather has been incredible! We were playing Pickle Ball on Christmas Eve and it was in the 70’s. On Christmas Day we walked a ‘new to us’ trail down by the waterfall. There were a LOT of people out hiking so it was slow going in parts as folks wanted to look at Hovis 🙂 Kids were in the creek in their swimwear it was such a beautiful day.
Business is doing really well. We are making plans to expand in the New Year but more on that later once the plans are more established.
Daniel and Caleb are doing well. Haven’t seen Hannah in a few weeks as her cottage was back in quarantine. We had Family Therapy today and sadly we were flabbergasted at Hannah’s recent behavior. It truly is really sad to see this smart, beautiful girl making the wrong choices. Not only that, her choices are affecting the other people around her where she is. Richard, myself and the therapist told her again today that if she continues on this path, life is isn’t going to get better for her, the restrictions are going to get worse and the places not as nice. It’s been nearly 5 months since her back surgery and she STILL has open wounds due to her picking (digging) when she gets mad! She was excited to hear that Richard will see her this weekend.
I know many have struggled this year with all the craziness going on in this world. For us, 2021 has truly been a good year. We have worked hard, played hard and so much more. Richard & I celebrated the fact that he had asked me out 38 years ago earlier this week! Actually we both forgot about it until late in the day but we are SO grateful for the love & respect we have for each other. We work as a team and are SO blessed because of that.
For those of you who receive our yearly newsletter, it hasn’t got lost, I just haven’t written it yet! I normally write it early November and mail it before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving came and it suddenly dawned on me that I hadn’t written it! OOPS! My plan is to write it in the New Year. Time will tell 😉
As we go into 2022 I pray that each of you will see through the craziness, realize that there is truly only ONE answer to this mess and HE is the reason we get to not only celebrate Christmas but also every day. If you are constantly watching the news, let me give you some advice. STOP! Yes, listen to enough to know what is going on from a reliable source and then turn it off! Don’t be dragged down by the lies & fear sprinkled with a little truth. Life is still worth living. Family is still worth loving.
