Springfield, MO Botanical Gardens

We had to head over to Springfield yesterday & whilst there took our first visit to the Botanical Gardens. First we walked down by the lake where we saw a variety of turtles & fish. From there, as we walked through the grounds, we came across different individual play equipment for children. There was a dragonfly see saw, some mushroom seats followed by these really cool Pine Trees:

We had never seen anything like this before & the kids had a blast for a few minutes before we headed off to see what else could be found. There is a Butterfly Garden here which is reportedly excellent as well as free but it is not open on Friday’s so we were unable to go in.
