The World’s Largest Toy Museum, Branson, MO
5 photos in this post.
If you want to reminisce or just be wowed by the quantity of toys in this museum, this is one place you do not want to miss when you are in Branson. With humble beginnings this, the World’s Largest Toy Museum, is located on one campus but in several buildings (six to be precise) and levels. There is SO much to see! (Their website says there are over one million toys there!) If, like Hannah you love Barbies then you will not want to miss the 1000 on view here. A train buff? The working model railway is a work in progress by local train enthusiasts. The detail is incredible and we spent quite a bit of time here talking to the gentleman and looking at all the trains, buildings etc.
Harold Bell Wright, the author of Shepherd of the Hills, has his museum here. I had no idea he had written so many books! You’ll find Roy Rogers, guns, collector’s cars and way, way much more! I haven’t even told you a tiny portion of all the collections.
I had to take a photo of these dolls as Michelle was a big Babysitter Club fan when she was younger and had these two particular dolls.
Close to the Barbie collection there is an area for dressing up for the younger generation:
Fun place with a VERY well stocked gift shop. Apparently collectors come in looking for certain Hot Wheels. We purchased Rummikub here as this was a game we used to have but for some reason no longer did. Sydnee got us back into playing it when we were in Montana. Now we play it quite regularly.
Take care,
Liz
I’ve often wondered if this was worthwhile seeing. We will have to check it out next time. Thanks for the informative review.
Hopefully, we will make it up there in the spring.
I think you would both enjoy it. Bring even more of the kid out in Larry 🙂
