MT – Day 30 – Cutting Nectarines with Renzi PLUS Smoothie Recipe :)
With the apricots out of the way it was time to work on some of the nectarines. We all LOVE fresh nectarines so some are being kept in the fridge. HOWEVER we cannot eat 80lbs of them! I have dehydrated nectarines before but with all the other dehydrated fruit that I have stashed away this year I opted to cut the nectarines into chunks and freeze them. I discovered that a nectarine smoothie is absolutely delicious!
MY RECIPE:
1 1/2 to 2 nectarines
1 1/2 cups of almond or coconut milk
3 to 4 doonks stevia (We use Trim Healthy Mama – a doonk is 1/32 of a teaspoon.)
1 scoop (2 tbsp) collagen (grass fed)
1/2 scoop (1 tbsp) baobab powder
2 pinches of salt (We use Redmond’s Real Salt or you can use sea salt.)**
1 tsp Chocolate Extract (We use Flavorganics.)
Ice to make it as thick as you want it.
You can also add a few cherries or blueberries to this recipe if you have them 🙂
**We don’t recommend the “junk” table salt that the regular store sells. That is lacking the majority of vitamins and minerals due to being so refined. HOWEVER good salt is important, actually helping you digest your food better.
Renzi came over to help me cut up the box of nectarines. She worked really hard for quite some time.
Blessings,
Liz
