Montana Trip – Day 1
Photo is courtesy of Caleb 🙂
Whilst we left a little later than planned today, we did get out of Treasure Lake by 10am. It was SO sweet to have a group of friends waiting to see us off. All the kids have had a lot of fun over the last couple weeks. The drive up to St. Jo was smooth and without incident. We made two stops: one for snack and one for lunch. We are going to do our best not to purchase any food for the first three days of the trip. Why? The five of us eating out really drains the cash and whilst we have saved hard for this trip, I don’t want to see it gone in the first couple weeks! We did have to buy ice tonight as with being on the road, the ice maker was obviously NOT making ice. We were all hot and bothered by the time we got set back up and ice was needed to make smoothies etc. to help cool us all down. What did Caleb do as soon as we had set up? Find FIVE baby toads!
Tomorrow I hope to get us all on the road again by 9am as we head up through Iowa into South Dakota. It feels SO good to be on the road again 🙂 Each day from now on we will be making stops at different sights, some of which we have visited before and others that will be new to us. Hope to have loads of great pics to share with you each day.
Blessings,
Liz
