Daniel and Ernie!

Wow! What a great day of performances at Silver Dollar City today. We started off with the Erwins, a young sibling group whose voices have really matured over the last couple of years. (Guess who prayed for them in an elevator one day?! ) That was followed by Joseph Habedank who not only has a great testimony but also an AMAZING voice. We all love his new single, Jailbreak, and Hannah was ecstatic that he ended with Here He Comes, her absolute favorite. After that it was time to see Karen Peck and New River at Red Gold. If you haven’t guessed yet, we literally went from waiting in line, seeing concert, waiting in line etc! I had packed us sandwiches for lunch which was just as well as we had to eat them on the steps of the Riverfront Theater in order to ensure we could get in to the show. There are SO many folks, you have to line up early if you want a seat.

No break after Karen Peck, it was then time to line up for Echo Hollow where Ernie Haase and Signature Sound were singing tonight. (Richard and the kids went off to “play” then whilst I waited and subsequently saved seats for us all.) We have “followed” Ernie for years and have a CD of him singing with the Cathedrals. They put on a great show and of course Ernie sang his signature song, Oh What a Savior, at the end. If you have never heard him sing this you are missing out! I’m betting he’s been singing it at every concert since he started with the Cathedrals!

Daniel went and talked with Ernie last year after the concert. This year he asked if he could go get a Selfie taken. Daniel was thrilled when Ernie remembered him from last year. Made Daniel’s evening 🙂

Blessings,

Liz

P.S. The answer to who prayed over the very young Erwins one day in an elevator, that God would use them mightily to sing HIS word, was none other than Vestal Goodman!
